Here’s a little something you may not know: all video games take place in a shared multiverse called the Meta-Bit. And it’s home to a legendary hero, jumping in and out of worlds to save the day.


 

With a history in live streaming stretching back to Twitch’s predecessor Justin.TV, DansGaming is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable influencers across all of gaming. Genuine, open-minded, and ready to dish obscure gaming history at a moment’s notice, DansGaming has cultivated a close-knit community of fans that has stood the test of time and transcends any one game.

Though DansGaming is a veteran Twitch streamer, he never had his own brand identity. He came to Loaded wanting to develop something unique and ownable. We wanted to craft a brand identity for DansGaming that celebrated this love of gaming.

We started by developing mythology around Dan himself — all video games take place in a shared multiverse called the Meta-Bit and Dan is the hero who saves the day in all of these gaming worlds. We used an 8-bit graphic style to convey Dan’s past as a celebrated video game hero, highlighting a few worlds inspired by some of his favorite games.

Our vision was to first tell this story through DansGaming’s intro sequence, and then build upon and expand the story through other livestream assets, such as transitions, alerts, overlays, and other stream animations.
