”Vengeance” RPG

An immersive, epic, story-driven RPG built in Fortnite, to promote the launch of The Northman.
Loaded and Focus Features teamed up to promote Robert Eggers’ latest film, The Northman in a unique way. We wanted to create a custom experience for the film unlike anything out there, that would bring gaming audiences into the world of the film, convey the themes of the film in an organic way, and capture the scope and scale of the epic Viking adventure.
To achieve this, we created a custom, playable RPG, “Vengeance: Inspired by The Northman,” based on the themes of the film. The RPG boasts an estimated 20+ hour play time for completion of main and side quest storylines.
We then crafted a robust social, influencer, and press campaign to drive the promotion of both the map and the film. Top gaming content creators, Courage and Symfuny, played “Vengeance” live on their streams to preview the experience, while other creators, such as DrLupo, MrSavage, Benjyfishy, and others, promoted the map and the film across their social channels.
